first came into being in 1992 by the name New Haven Ravens , in the city of New Haven, in Connecticut. At that time they were associated with the team ‘Colorado Rockies’. The team played quite successfully. Then in the year 2003 Drew Webber , a business man, bought it and made the decision to move it to Manchester in New Hampshire. Then on the 19 th of July, in 2005, the majority controlling interest in the team was sold by Drew Webber to Art Solomon , who later on acquired the full possession of the team, in 2008. By then the team’s name had been changed to New Hampshire Cats.
Initially the colors used by the team were bronze, green, silver and black, which were later on changed to white, blue and red in 2010, on 16 th November. The team’s current manager is Sal Fasano and the General Manager is Rick Benner . Currently the home arena of the team is the Northeast Delta Dental Stadium, situated in Manchester, since the season in 2005. The stadium has the seating capacity of 7,500 people. have been an extremely successful and celebrated team since the very beginning. It has managed to win the Eastern League Championship twice, first in 2000, when it defeated the Reading Phillies thrice and lost once in the series of the championship. Then yet again in 2004, after their big move to Manchester from New Haven, in their very first season. In the final match, while fighting for the title, they crushed Altoona. They were the hosts of the Home Run Derby and Eastern League All-Star Game 2008 that happened among the Southern Division and Northern Division, on the 16 th of July, 2008.
