Before the current name was given to the team they were called the Baltimore Thunder from 1987 till 1999, in 2000 they were known as Pittsburgh CrosseFire and from 2001 till 2002 the team was known as the Washington Power.

The current head coach of the team is Bob Hamley and the general manager is Steve Govett. The home arena of the team is the famous Pepsi Center in Denver.
