Coheed And Cambria Tickets Information
The story of Coheed and Cambria began when Travis Stever and Claudio Sanchez’s former band ‘Toxic Parents’ broke up and they decided to form their own band. Due to some argument, Stever left the band only after a couple of months. However he re-joined the group in 1999 and the band released an EP ‘Delirium Trigger’ which featured science fiction comics. Signing a record deal with Equal Vision Records, this group of talented musicians recorded their first studio album ‘The Second Stage Turbine Blade’. The album didn’t get any good rankings on the charts, but it featured some revised tracks from the previous EPs. Coheed and Cambria toured the United States and Japan, followed by its appearance on the Vans Warped Tour. It also performed along with other bands including Slipknot, Linkin Park and Breaking Pangaea which made it widely popular among the audience.
The following year, Coheed and Cambria began working with Blaze James (the manager) prior to any further releases. The collaboration proved successful and ‘In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3’, the second studio album came out in 2003 and made it to the top 100 albums with a Gold status. The album got Coheed and Cambria their two first major awards, including the awards for ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best Live Performance’. Singles including ‘Blood Red Summer’ and ‘A Favor House Atlantic’ from this album were frequently played on the TV channels. Following this release, the band received an offer from the Columbia Records, which was immediately accepted. In September 2005, the group released its best hit so far- the third studio album ‘Good Apollo, I’m Burning star IV, Volume One: From Fear through the Eyes of Madness’. Selling more than 1 million, the album peaked at the Billboard Charts at number 7 and became the most commercially successful album by the band. A slight change in the music style was noticed in its songs, which showed an inclination towards progressive rock and metal. Coheed and Cambria went for an extensive US and European tour and was accompanied by a number of bands.
Coheed and Cambria became known for producing the concept albums which follow a particular storyline (related to science fiction). It witnessed constant lineup changes over the years but kept on producing great music for the listeners. By 2006, the band witnessed a great increase in the fan following and received positive reviews from the critics. In 2008, the group headlined the music festivals including ‘The Bamboozle Music Festival’ and ‘Kerrang!’ in the UK. The release of its tribute album ‘Maiden Heaven’ earned it a Kerrang! nomination for ‘Best International Band’.
2010’s ‘Years of Black Rainbow’ is the most recent studio album released by the band so far. Two more albums ‘The Afterman: Ascension’ and ‘The Afterman: Descension’ are queued to be released in the year 2012 and 2013 respectively. In 2011, the (now) five member band went through a few changes and was seen performing at some of the most famous events of the year including the ‘Lollapalooza Festival’, ‘Austin City Limits Music Festival’ and ‘Wacken Open Air Festival’.
