Awolnation Tickets Information
Awolnation is the manifestation of an idea that was conceived by Aaron Bruno. Aaron had been around the scene for quite some time and had been a member of a few bands like Insurgence, Influence of Giants and Hometown Hero. Those experiences taught him everything there was to know about music. He knew how the industry worked and knew how to make things work. It was Red Bull Records that first contacted Aaron in the year 2009. The label offered him to use their studio in LA if he wanted to. The offer was accepted and Aaron started to work there, writing and recording numerous songs. Red Bull was so impressed by what they were seeing that they offered Aaron a contract which was duly accepted too. It was more along the lines of a partnership because Aaron was given total freedom to the kind of recordings he wanted. There were to be no hurdles or outside interferences with his work.
Aaron started to write his own tracks and called upon some of the people he trusted more for help. He called himself Awolnation which was inspired by a name he was given during his school days. They made their debut with an EP titled Back to Earth which was made available to the fans through iTunes on 18th May, 2010. Their first studio album was Megalithic Symphony and it hit music stores everywhere on 15th March, 2010 as a digital download. Its physical release came two weeks later on 29th March. The headlining song from the album “Sail” charted on the Billboard Hot 100. It also went to the tenth spot on the U.S. Billboard Rock Songs. It was a super hit track that has since gone on to capture platinum status in the US and two times platinum in Canada. It has also been a part of the TV show The Good Wife. Finnish Smartphone giants Nokia also used it in their advertisement and promotional campaign of Lumia.
“Sail” wasn’t however the only song that made it big. The track “Burn It Down” made an appearance on the Sons of Anarchy. “Guilty Filthy Souls” featured on an episode of The Vampires Diaries. “Not Your Fault” was another song that made a serious impact, especially because of its video. The animation, the pixilation and the effects used in the video were a throwback to “Sledgehammer”, the super hit song from Peter Gabriel. It was also released in 3D format. The song went to the fourth spot on Alternative Rock charts in Canada. On top of that it also went to chart among the top 20 in the US Rock songs and on the third place on the US Alternative Songs. The album on the whole was met with widespread acclaim from every corner upon its release which announced the group’s arrival among the big boys in some style. The album’s remarkable music and Aaron’s equally versatile vocals combine to make it a stunning release.
