New Haven is the second largest city, after Bridgeport, in all of Connecticut. Quinnipac University, University of New Haven and the Paier College of Art are located near the city.
New Haven has the largest number of Zagat rated restaurants, at fifty six. The city is connected with all other major cities through an extensive system of roads and railway. There is also an airport named Tweed New Haven Regional Airport and a seaport called The Port of New Haven.
The entertainment scene in the city is rich with many theaters which include Yale Repertory Theatre, Long Wharf Theater, Shubert Theatre etc. It also home to many museums like Peabody Museum of Natural History. Then there is the Yale University Collection of Musical Instruments and the Yale Center for British Art. In august every year a Jazz Music festival is organized to celebrate many of the popular jazz musicians who are from this city.
