Viaero Event Center formerly Kearney Event Center Tickets Information

The Viaero Event Center started out as the Tri-City Arena at the turn of the new millennium. Constructed at a cost of $ 10 million ($ 13.4 million in 2011 dollars), the then Tri-City Arena was a welcome addition to the sporting and cultural milieu of Buffalo County, of which the city of Kearney is the county seat. The arena, scraping through a lawsuit that prevented it from being erected in its initially intended location of the Buffalo County Fairgrounds, was well received by the Tri-City Storm team that had seen its creation the same year. At that time, the arena could accommodate a maximum of 4,200 people and had 4,043 fixed seats, with two tiers of luxury boxes.
The current reincarnation of the former Kearney event center, the Viaero Event Center started sending out its festivity laced signals in May 2009 when the new owner Kirk Brooks revamped the old red, blue and yellow colored FirsTier theme, after purchasing it and the Storm for $ 4 million. The current seating capacity has been upped by 1,300 to 5,500 with more than 54,000 square feet of space that can be utilized for conventions and exhibits. The arena floor itself boasts 17,000 square foot that, along with the Viaero Event Center’s wide concourse minimizes congestion, making it possible for a whole range of different layouts to be implemented as per the requirements of the given event. Fans especially appreciate the “sight lines” that allow for an unobstructed view from atop the concourse to the other side as well as angling down towards the ice. There’s even an upper level meeting space that enables up to 150 people to convene and talk matters out whilst stealing views of the happenings on the arena floor.
The Viaero Event Centerformerly Kearney Event Center that acquired its moniker from the Viaero Wireless Company, ups the ante by offering catering services courtesy a full-service kitchen. When patrons are not rooting for their favorite ice hockey, basketball or indoor football team, they can be found being enthralled by the likes of Jason Aldean who rumbled down to the arena on his “Big Green Tractor” in 2009 or Miranda Lambert who unleashed her vivacious country crooning last summer. Skating fans can both marvel at the upcoming Disney on Ice Treasure Trove show or take to the ice themselves via skating lessons and themed skating nights.
