                        
The Toyota Center is a sports venue in Downtown Houston, Texas. The venue is named after the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota.The magnificent Toyota Center has the honor of housing three sports teams.The Toyota Center has seating capacity of 18,300 for basketball, 17,800 for hockey, & Up to 19,000 for concerts. The arena also contains 2,900 Club Seats and 103 Luxury Suites. Within a few blocks of the facility, there are over 10,000 parking spaces available.
There was a great need of building a new stadium to replace the Compaq centere.The Houston sports teams pressurized the city for the construction of a new stadium in 2002.Resultantly, the Toyota Center was built and has since become their new home. Fleetwood Mac concert was the first event after the arena's opening ceremony. The first Rockets game at the Toyota Center was against the Denver Nuggets on October 30, 2003.
The marvelous Toyota Center has become one of the most popular sports venue in Texas. The center has welcomed more than 1.5 million fans during its first year alone. This outstanding center has also won many prestigious rewards which include winner of the Allen Award for Civic Enhancement by Central Houston in 2003, "Rookie of the Year" by the Harlem Globetrotters in 2004 and a finalist for Pollstar Magazine’s "Best New Concert Venue" award.
The Houston Toyota Center has the honor of hosting some of the biggest events in the Houston area. These include the 2006 NBA All-Star Game and WWE No Mercy on October 9, 2005. The venue will also host UFC 69: Shootout on April 7, 2007 and the WWE Raw brand pay-per-view Vengeance on June 24, 2007.
The Center has the distinction of hosting wide range of sports. Basketball, rodeo, motorcycle racing, and indoor arena football are just a few of the sporting events that call the Center home. The available ice sheet makes it the perfect venue for hockey teams at all levels as well as figure skating and professional ice shows.
The center is also a popular entertainment venue. Country musicians, rock bands, gospel groups, dance troupes, circuses, and monster trucks are among the many entertainment acts that perform at the Toyota Center. The Center has a flexible floor design that allows the stage to be positioned in the center, at the side or in the horseshoe for the best in viewing and listening.
The Houston Toyota center has the honor of hosting trade Shows. The coliseum floor quickly transforms into a 27,000 square foot exhibit hall. It becomes a showcase for vendors selling everything from arts and crafts to sporting goods. The concourse provides additional vendor space and concessions. Plenty of electrical, data and phone lines provide all the connectivity you need to do business. The Toyota Center comfortably seats from 5,000 to 7,000 in six configurations.
The Toyota Center has a separate banquet area. It provides versatile space to accommodate groups from five to 250. It also features an optional dance floor, private entrance and beautiful full-service buffet area. This makes the location ideal for receptions, banquets, business meetings, and seminars.
