Apart from being an arena, a convention center, namely the Qwest Center Omaha -- located in Omaha, Nebraska, United States – occupies an area of 1.1million square feet area and accommodates over 18,300 people. In addition to this, it also has 194,000 square feet of exhibition hall and 62,000 square feet of meeting area.
So far till now, this specific arena has hosted various genre events, which encompass several basketball games, hockey games and concerts, over and above, the annual shareholder meeting for Berkshire Hathaway.
In 2000, Omaha voters officially agreed for a $216 million budget financed in order to construct a new convention center and arena; the remainder of the $291 million project was granted by private firms and individuals. The naming rights to the arena were procured by Qwest; thus, consequently, the Qwest Center Omaha opened in September 2003, comprising of an original seating capacity of 17,000 for concerts, 15,500 for basketball, and 14,700 for hockey.

The Arena floor can be altered from a hockey rink to a basketball court in one hour, with convenience.
The largest amount of tickets to be ever sold to a concert at Qwest Center Omaha was for a Faith Hill and Tim McGraw concert which took place on June 6, 2007. The approximate figure was about 17,000 tickets which had been sold out.
According to Pollstar, Qwest Center Omaha ranks 10th in the US and 15th in the world for successfully selling out maximum tickets for the 1st quarter 2007.
A crowd of 17, 209 people has been recorded to be the biggest crowd to ever watch a NCAA Women's Volleyball match in the country took place on December 16, 2006, for the National Championship between the University of Nebraska and Stanford University, also at Qwest Center Omaha.
17, 607 people gathered to watch a basketball game in Nebraska occurred on the evening of February 17, 2007, for a 9pm ESPN Bracketbuster game between Creighton and Drexel, which is also another largest attendance at the sports arena.
According to the NCAA's annual attendance report, Creighton's average home game attendance, during the 2006-2007 season, was ranked 13th countrywide i.e., 15,909/home game.
