Music Hall At Fair Park Tickets Information
Music Hall At Fair Park
Settled among the finest genuine trade fair art deco architecture in the world, the Music Hall at Fair Park made its impressive theatrical debut on October 10, 1925, featuring the musical opening of Sigmund Romberg's, The Student Prince.
Designed in Spanish Baroque fashion with Moorish architectural elements incorporated in it, the Music Hall's design idea is personified in six soaring stair towers capped with cast drum and dome and five great arcade porches with surrounding picturesque views of Fair Park. In 1954 the Music Hall experienced its first major renovation by installing the facility for air conditioning which was a requirement it lacked previously.
In 1972, the Hall was refashioned once more. This time its the lobby areas were expanded in order to build a grand entrance hall for the ticket office and space for the Crystal Terrace Restaurant. This project also enlarged the backstage area, providing a commodious annex and abundant dressing rooms. The final touches incorporated acoustical development and the installation of more comfortable seats, thus providing a seating capacity of 3,420. In 1999 the renovation came to completion, with the theatre’s re-carpeting, the interior was redecorated in a fresher way and a permanent gift store, infrared headset station, booster seats and guest relations center were also added to the facility. The Music Hall is countrywide famous venue for Broadway musical touring companies, grand opera, ballet and other dance productions, concerts including live global television broadcasts, national pageants and a myriad of other large and small-scale public and private functions. The Dallas Summer Musicals and seasonal performance of The Dallas Opera and Fort Worth Dallas Ballet have been held at the Music Hall.
Apart from being a cultural center, the Music Hall serves as an advanced venue for business meetings, black tie affairs, luncheons and banquets. Combining the classiness of fine dining with the stunning views of Fair Park, the Crystal Terrace dining room offers an excellent buffet in addition to summer musical, opera and ballet seasonal performances and is the idyllic place for dinners, receptions, meetings and private parties. The Crystal Terrace has room for up to five hundred guests and also arranges larger numbers for receptions and special events. Additionally, Crystal Terrace has full catering capabilities, valet service available and a professional service staff.
The orchestra pit which can lodge a full orchestra, backstage dressing rooms and property storage area, the Music Hall is inimitable facility to provide accommodation for a large opera and musical touring productions. Broadway favorites including "Les Miserables", "Miss Saigon" and the Southwest Premier of "The Phantom of the Opera" and grand opera productions such as "Aida", "Madama Butterfly" and "The Barber of Seville" are just some of the presentations having appeared on the spacious Music Hall stage.
Under the fantastic administration of DSM Management Group, Inc., an affiliate of Dallas Summer Musicals, the proficient staff management team of the Music Hall and the backstage personnel offer welcoming and well-organized administration of any show or event.
