Columbus Civic Center consists of 10,000 seats. It is a multi-purpose arena that was built in 1996 in Columbus, Georgia, The Columbus Civic Center is the home arena of the Columbus Cottonmouths ice hockey team. This arena is also home to the Columbus Lions indoor football team.
The Columbus Civic Center was previously the home arena of the Columbus Riverdragons basketball team [2001 – 2005], the Columbus Comets indoor soccer team in 1997, the Columbus Wardogs Arena Football team from 2001 - 2004, and the Chattahoochee Valley Vipers indoor football team in 2006.
The Columbus Civic Center is built on 23,000 square feet of flat floor space as well as 5,000 square feet of hospitality suites.
The Columbus Civic Center is part of a large sports and entertainment complex, which is commonly known as The South Commons Sports and Entertainment Complex. This sports and entertainment complex consists of the Golden Park, a 4,500-seat baseball stadium, the Memorial Stadium, a 13,000-seat football stadium, and South Commons Softball Complex, an 8-field softball venue with a 2,500-seat softball stadium (home of the 1996 Olympic Softball Competition).
Since its establishment in 1996, the Columbus Civic Center has hosted a myriad of concerts, family shows and sporting events. Some events, shows and concerts it has held include the following: the
World Wrestling Entertainment, BB King, Patti LaBelle, Reba McIntyre, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Disney on Ice, Original Harlem Globetrotters, Lord of the Dance, Martina McBride, the "World Famous" Lipizzaner Stallions, Ringling Bros. & Barnum and Bailey Circus, LeAnne Rhimes, Big and Rich, Gretchen Wilson, etc.

When you arrive at the Civic Center, you may wonder about where you have to park. However, there is no reason for you to worry, as there is ample parking space available. The best place to park is at the north end of the building from Veteran's Parkway and Victory Drive.
The following are helpful directions to reach the Columbus Civic Center:
From Atlanta, Georgia
You should take I-85 South to I-185 South to exit #1 Victory Drive. Make a right turn at end of ramp, and continue on Victory Drive. Columbus Civic Center will be on your left, at the Veterans Parkway and Victory Drive intersection.
From Albany, Georgia
You should take 27N to Columbus. You will be on Victory Drive, and from here, you should continue on this path towards Phenix City. When you reach the Veterans Parkway intersection, the South Commons Complex will fall on your left. Make a left turn into the South Commons Complex, and the Civic Center will be right ahead of you.
From Savannah, Georgia
Start out on the GA-404 West, and continue to GA-96 West. Then take GA-22 to GA-85, and then take US-27N to Columbus. US-27 will become Victory Drive. Continue on this path towards Phenix City. You will reach the intersection of Victory Drive and Veterans Parkway, and the South Commons Complex will fall on your left. When you turn into the South Commons Complex, the Civic Center will be straight ahead of you.
From Macon, Georgia
Take the US 80W into Columbus, and Continue on 80/ J.R. Allen Parkway. Exit this path at 2nd Ave./ Downtown Columbus, and continue on 2nd Ave. You will eventually come to an intersection at 13th Street. You should then take a left onto 13th Street. Head for the second light, and turn right onto Veterans Parkway. Continue on Veterans Parkway, and you will end up at the Civic Center.
From Montgomery, Alabama
You should take I-185W towards Atlanta. Exit that path and turn onto 280E/431S to Phenix City. Carry on the 280E path crossing the Chattahoochee River into Columbus. Make a right turn right at the first red light you see, and head into the South Commons Complex. The Civic Center will be right before you.
