Berklee Performance Center Tickets

The Berklee Performance Center is one of Boston’s most popular venues, located at the Massachusetts Avenue in the Back Bay Area. It is the largest such theatre in the city and is located on the Berklee College of Music. It has a seating capacity of twelve hundred and plays host yearly to over two hundred events, each of which is viewed live by many through Berklee Performance Center tickets. Built primarily for the events of the college, it is usually rented by other performers and often plays host to many a popular artist on tours through the US. It was formerly a movie palace known as the Fenway Theatre which was designed by Thomas Lamb and opened to the public in 1915.

In 1972, the Berklee Performance Center was formed after the Berklee College of Music purchased the movie palace and renovated it. It was opened to the public in 1976. Since its founding, it has featured concert events such as the International Folk Festival and the Singers Showcase. Special concert events are held at the center including those conducted by the Jazz Composition Department in the college and often referred to as Fall Together. Famous Boston events such as the Beantown Jazz Festival are held in the center, produced by the college.
 
The Music Series at the Berklee Performance Center is a series of concerts that pair student ensembles with professional musicians like Gary Burton, Issac Delgado and Don Was. It has also played host to many of the most famous artists and entertainers in American history, regularly seeing performances by the likes of the Talking Heads, Melissa Ferrick, Thomas Dolby, Chick Corea, Sonny Rollins, Bill Frisell and even renowned standup comedian, Bill Maher.
 
In 2012 alone, the Berklee Performance Center was host to performances by several famous artists and bands including Rockapella, Pentatonix, Franco Corso, Glen Hansard, Béla Fleck, Melody Gardot, Snarky Puppy, Zoë Keating, Clannad, Alfie Boe, Aimee Mann, Henry Rollins and Mary Black. Each of these was seen live by many through Berklee Performance Center tickets.
