Walking With Dinosaurs Tickets Information
Walking With Dinosaurss
One of the most extensively researched and acclaimed documentaries originating from a television channel is the 6 episode television series called "Walking With Dinosaurss." This television series has also been labeled as the most expensive documentary ever filmed for television viewers. The television series was first aired in UK in 1999 and was narrated by Kenneth Branagh. Kenneth Branagh is well known for his outstanding and perfectly pitched voice. UK audience was completely enthralled by the animation and the depth of knowledge behind the serials.
After the success in UK, the program was again aired in North America and televised on the Discovery Channel. Only this time the voice of Avery Brooks was used to communicate the research work done on these fascinating creatures.
One of the most interesting aspect of the documentary was that there was an extensive emphasis on recreating the ambiance and movement of the creatures that travelled the earth hundred of years ago. Extensive software applications and graphic designs were amalgamated to finally create movement that could be easily comprehended by all age groups. A cohort of engineering specialists was hired to create an animated view of different animals and events. Each time zone was replicated to its original state. Minor details were incorporated into the serials including plantations, terrain and even the co-existing habitats of other creatures.
The documentary by no means imitated the norms of a documentary movie. There were no critic's views being aired or even interviews of any sorts. The purpose was to bring to life the true environment in which these great animals lived in. And each episode focused on one or different protagonists ensuring a comprehensive analysis of the specie or the group of species. Time zones of each dinosaur was different and catered within the episodes.
The first episode was labeled as "New Blood" and was about the Coelopysis trying to remain alive in the dry season. The episode begins with the Coelopysis hunting for food whereas the other carnivores were wandering in search of similar feeding perspectives. A female rausichian was also shown in the episode. It is known that the Rausisuchians were one of the largest carnivores of their time. The episode reveals that during the dry season certain animals could not be successful and were left to be rotted and some became festive food for other breeds. The Coelopysis ends up as a victor along with some others and waits for another wet season. It is simply the survival of the fittest and there are no other options than to consider transgressing the veneers of animal interaction and surpassing the weaker link.
"Time of the Titans" is the name of the second episode that is to depict the era that occurred a good 152 million years ago. In this segment, Diplodocus is the primal dinosaur that is shown during its different age phases. The episode is again about how the dinosaur kingdom survived and how the Diplodocus herd ensures unity among themselves. It is not always the fittest that wins the crown but also the brave. Spectacular animation and superb graphics made this second episode a major success in UK as well as other parts of the world.
The third episode was called "Cruel Sea" and demonstrated the living of Opthalmosarus. Next came the "Giant of the skies" elaborating on the Ornithocheirus. "Spirits of the Ice Forest" was then followed by Head of Steropodon which provided details about Leaellynasaura. These are the dinosaurs that prevailed in the intensive winter conditions. "Death of a dynasty" was another successful episode that communicated to the viewers about the Dromaeosaurus and how they lived in their specific habitats.
One of the unique aspects of the entire television serial is that it highlighted all the various types of dinosaur and their inhabitants. Different serials were shooted in the dry heat areas of the world and other serials were shot in the most tropical environments of the world. Each episode paid tribute to the entire dinosaur kingdom ranging from large predators to the most highly trained sea mammals.
The television serial was such a success that is spun off several live theatrical adaptations as well as publications about the legendary characters in the television serials. Tim Haines wrote "The Complete Guide to Prehistoric Life" depicting many of the animals. Children version of the serial was also released on different channels and different voices dubbed the sounds and the narrations. With the different versions, many of the dinosaurs and their activity were either enhanced or cut short depending upon the audience.
