The play stars Mekhi Phifer, Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Condola Rashad, Dule Hill and Rosie Benton; while the whole production is directed by Kenny Leon. Kenny Leon is few of those African American theatre directors who have made quite some name for themselves with their extraordinary work in terms of directing theatrical productions. Leon grabbed some noticeable attention back in 1988 as an artistic director for the Alliance Theatre Company and since then he has work on several notable productions including Gem of the Ocean, Even Tongue Confess, The Last Night of Ballyhoo, A Raisin in the Sun and The Mountaintop.
