Among Boston Theaters, the Citi Shubert Theatre is considered to have some of the richest, most exciting history of hosting some of the most famous world premiers and outstanding performances. The theatre opened on 1910 and gained much attention for its cozy atmosphere and dainty playhouse image. Generally, the venue has become home to many productions while also being partners with several other prominent art organizations such as World’s Music Flamenco Festival, and Handel and Haydn Society. Most importantly, the Center gave an incredibly beneficial grant in 1998 that was worth one million dollars, as an award to another non-profit company called Boston Lyric Opera. Since then the Shubert theatre has been a home to BLO’s shows for almost thirteen years.

Orpheum Theatre is one of the oldest music venues not just among Boston Theaters but in the entire United States. It was constructed in 1852 and was initially known as Boston Music Hall, which was the first and most original home of the well-known, Boston Symphony Orchestra. In 1906, its name was changed to Orpheum Theatre and was taken under by Loew’s Theatres, which restructured and reconstructed it considerably. Since 2011, the place has been functioning as a multi-purpose hall for live musical performances from diverse backgrounds and genres. The renowned theatre has hosted some seriously noteworthy shows including a Rolling Thunder Revue which was led by Bob Dylan, The Police: Live!, U2 and Tin Machine.
