The subsequent year Wrestle Mania 2 was held, the only Wrestle Mania to have three locations; the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York, the Rosemont Horizon in Rosemont, Illinois and the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California and each venue had one key event contest. Wrestle Mania III had a reported turnout of 93,173 making it the biggest recorded attendance for a live indoor sports event in North America and the largest paying crowd in the history of professional wrestling. To make sure of filling up the whole 90,000 capacity of Silver Dome, the World Wrestling Federation determined to bar the whole state of Michigan from pay-per-view access to the event compelling the fans of Michigan to attend the event. They witnessed the historic game between Hulk Hogan and André - the Giant where former defeated later to maintain his WWF Championship. The event is still generally considered to be the acme of the 1980s wrestling boom while the number of audience still remains a matter of dispute.

Wrestle Mania VI was held at Sky Dome, in Toronto - Ontario, Canada. It was the first time that this event was being held at a place other than United States followed by Wrestle Mania X8 which again took place at Sky Dome. By defeating Jimmy Snuka, The Undertaker was unveiled at the Wrestle Mania VII which was originally supposed to be held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum but was held next to Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena because a threat had been sent out towards the company. It was prior to Wrestle Mania XIX that the company’s name was changed to World Wrestling Entertainment along with the brand extension. Wrestle Mania XX- the twentieth event of WWE was again held at Madison Square Garden and the new WWE Hall of Fame was introduced here which was to have new additions annually a night before the Wrestle Mania.

Wrestle Mania has also been on focus because of the superstar appearances since its initiation with some of the stars being involved in the events in one way or another. The major event of the first Wrestle Mania was packed with celebrities. Billy Martin - ex-Yankees manager was the ring presenter, Muhammad Ali was time keeper and special enforcer and Mr. T of the TV show ‘The A-Team’ contested the main event next to the tag team partner, Hulk Hogan. At Wrestle Mania XIV, Mike Tyson appeared as the special guest enforcer for the WWF Championship match among Shawn Michael and Steve Austin. Tyson made the three counts that resulted in Austin bagging the title.

Some celebrities went a bit out of the way to mark their presence on these Wrestle Mania events such as them walking the wrestlers to the ring, enlisted are Cyndi Lauper for Wendi Richter, Ozzy Osbourne for the British Bulldogs, Ice-T for The Godfather and D'Lo Brown, Alice Cooper for Jake Roberts, Pamela Anderson for Diesel and Jenny McCarthy for Shawn Michael.
