This amazing Super Bowl winning pro football team first started out in the city of Cleveland in the state of Ohio back in 1936. At that time, this team was known as the Cleveland Rams and started off as a charter team within the American Football League. Ten years later, this team moved to the city of Los Angeles and was then known as the Los Angeles Rams. The team played in the city of Los Angeles for many years until moving to the city of St Louis in 1995. When the St Louis Rams were formed back in 1936, they played their first season superbly. This team managed to received a ranking of second in the American Football League with a record of 5-2-2, trailing by a tiny bit after the number one league champion, the Boston Shamrocks. The next year, the St Louis Rams joined the NFL and have been a part of it until today. In 1945, the team played a highly successful season in which their quarterback, Bob Waterfield, went on to receive the Most Valuable Player Award in the league. The team finished the season at 9-1 and won the NFL Championship.



The St Louis Rams then moved to the city of Los Angeles and became a historic team when they drafted the first two African American players to play in the NFL. The team came second in their first season in this city and by 1955, the St Louis Rams had been part of around four NFL Championship matches, winning the 1951 NFL Championship. This team was also historical as the team to create a unique style of football with Elroy Hirsch and Hall of Fame Inductee, Tom Fears, as the first big play receivers. Elroy Hirsch made a record fifteen hundred yards with seventeen touchdowns and the St Louis Rams soon became a massively popular team nationally. In fact, this amazing team went on to become the first professional football team to have all the games it played shown on television.



By 1967, the team’s matches attracted over a hundred thousand fans and the team became the first pro football team in the NFL to have passed one million fans in one season, something the team repeated again in 1968. In 1969, the team’s legendary quarterback, Roman Gabriel, became the MVP within the whole NFL, with the St Louis Rams leading the playoffs. In the seventies, the St Louis Rams had an amazing stint of titles, bagging seven consecutive National Football Conference West Championships from 1973 to 1979. The team then moved to the city of Los Angeles where the team managed to reach the playoffs a record six times in nine seasons. Their running back, Eric Dickerson, became the Rookie of the Year in the NFL and set a new record in the NFL when he ran for over two thousand one hundred yards.



By 1990, the St Louis Rams were ranked as the third overall offense in the entire US. The team then relocated to the city of St Louis ad has been there since then. The St. Louis Rams are a professional American football team based in St. Louis, Missouri.
