“I was so happy with my Ron White Tickets, that I bought Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Concert seats the very next day. Quickest turn around on all my emails and did I mention best prices I could find on the net. Art even arranged for a discount coupon for me and saved me more than $70.

San Francisco Giants Tickets Information

San Francisco Giants
San Francisco Giants stand in the line up of some of the oldest franchises in Major League Baseball. Giants were originally formed back 1883, as they became the members of National League as the New York Gothams. Gothams took the place of Troy Trojans, who had recently been disbanded at that time. After struggling for its few initial years, Gothams finally found their place among the champions as they won their first National League Pennant in 1888. After its formation the club started playing its home games at the Polo Grounds, however the team later changed their home field a couple of times, although the name of those fields was changed to Polo Grounds every time they became its tenants.

In 1885 the name of the franchise was changed to New York Giants from New York Gothams and the team remained in a strong position through out 80s, however by 1890, the Giants faced a major downfall as some of the key players of the team switched to the team with the same name on Players' League. That deprived New York Giants of their glory hence the performance of the team started degrading and by 1891; the owner of the Giants, John B. Day sold off the management of the team to Edward Talcott. By 1902, the team was once again struggling as the performance kept on declining, but Talcott made a crucial move in the team's history by hiring John McGraw as the players' manager of the team. Under his rule the team improved a lot and in fact they bring home 10 National League Pennants and 3 World Series Titles, making McGraw one of the most successful Player's Manager in the history of sports entertainment. By the end of 1902 season, due to the constant loses that were incurred to Talcott; he was forced to sell of the managing share to John T. Bush.

It was under McGraw's supervision when Giants got their first ever shot at the World Series when they had to go against the reigning champions Boston Americans, now known as the Boston Red Sox. However upon McGraw's decision, the Giants refused to play for the World Series Title. But in the following season Giants ended up winning their first ever World Series Title by claiming a victory over Philadelphia Athletics. For the next few years, Giants once again struggled, and lost three consecutive World Series Titles; one to Boston Red Sox and two to Philadelphia Athletics. Giants losing streak ended with their defeat in 1917 World Series by Chicago White Sox, but with the dawn of the new decade Giants won their 2 consecutive World Series Titles in 1921 and 1922 by defeating New York Yankees twice. Giants also earned the shot at the World Series Titles in the following two consecutive years, but weren't able to score the win.

John McGraw's legacy ended, as he retired in 1932 and Bill Terry took the charge of managing duties of the team. The following year, Giants won their forth World Series title as they defeated Washington Senators. Giants gained their last World Series Title win in 1954. Giants defeated Cleveland Indians in four straight games to claim their victory on World Series Title. After that the team appeared thrice in the World Series that was in 1962, 1989 and 2002 as San Francisco Giants.

Giants struggled once again during their last few years as the New York Giants, and the team was in desperate search for a new home field as the Polo Grounds were crumbling down. Initially the team decided to make a move to Minneapolis, St Paul, home of Giants farm team, Minneapolis Millers. However later on George Christopher, the mayor of San Francisco approached Giants and proposed them to move to San Francisco but the majority shareholders of the team weren't satisfied with it. Later on the owner of the Dodgers, Walter O'Malley pushed Horace Stoneham, the majority shareholder of the Giants to move to San Francisco, as O'Malley had been told that if he wants Dodgers to move in to Los Angeles than another team has to move to California as well, hence Both New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers relocated in 1957.

Although after the relocation, Giants have been successful steadily, but they are yet unable to claim a World Series Title as yet. Although for this season, fan's hopes are towards the team, because who knows, Giants might just accomplish something that they haven't for the past few years.

San Francisco Giants are one of the main and most popular League Baseball team based in San Francisco, California. Giants play in the West Division of the National League. Giants were in early days originally known as Gothams, they started as a second baseball club by John B. Day and Jim Mutrie. Giants were Day and Mutrie's real entry to the National League, although their other clubs, the Metropolitans (known as original Mets) were playing in the American Association. Initially Metropolitans were more successful club but then Day and Mutrie moved top players to the Gothams, which lead the team to win its first National League pennant in 1888. After this splendid fulfilling victory, Mutrie (who was also the team's manager) came in the dressing room and out of his pleasure and excitement shouted, "My big fellows! My giants!" And from there onwards, the club was called as the Giants. They saw high time as a team in the beginning and also bring out some remarkable top class players but on the whole they didn't come off with flying colors, they struggled a lot, but couldn't prove their best.
