“I was so happy with my Ron White Tickets, that I bought Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Concert seats the very next day. Quickest turn around on all my emails and did I mention best prices I could find on the net. Art even arranged for a discount coupon for me and saved me more than $70.

"I am visiting USA and wanted to see Rolling Stones in Chicago. Ticket Nest gave me the absolute best prices I could find anywhere on internet. There was an issue for shipping to Germany. Sam at Ticket Nest even spoke German, called back to Germany and didn’t give up until the issue was resolved. I just did not expect this level of service. You know where I will be buying tickets on my US tour"

Olympics Tennis Tickets Information

Olympics Tennis
Tennis played by millions has its history as far as the Middle Ages in France or Ancient Greece. King Henry VIII played pretty good tennis but modern tennis started since 1873 in England. There was tennis in the Olympics from 1896 until 1924. As a demonstration sport in 1984 it became an official Olympic sport in 1988.

There are also professional tournaments like the US Open, the French Open, and the Australian Open, but the best known professional tennis tournaments take place in Wimbledon, England. After two appearances as a demonstration sport, it returned as a full medal sport at the 1988 Summer Olympics and has been played at every edition of the Games since then.

In 1896, 1900, 1904, 1988, and 1992, semifinal losers shared bronze medals. In all other years, a playoff match for the bronze medal was staged. Tennis at the 2004 Summer Olympics took place on ten separate courts at the Olympic Tennis Centre. 172 players competed in 4 events. In 2004 with the top ranked players appearing, the tournament saw world ranking points for the first time. Martina Navratilova made her first appearance at the Olympic Games where she partnered with Lisa Raymond in the ladies doubles event. Venus Williams was defending her title in the ladies singles as was Daniel Nestor in the men's doubles although with a different partner.

At the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the host nation United States won 3 of the 4 gold medals in tennis. For the first time at the Olympics, single bronze medal was awarded in each event. American teenager Jennifer Capriati stunned German Steffi Graf in the women's singles final to win the gold medal. Marc Rosset became the first Swiss Olympic tennis gold medalist.

Tennis returned to the Summer Olympic Games at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, having been left out since the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris. Tennis appeared in 1984 Summer Olympics as a demonstration sport. The tournament took place from September 20 - October 1 on outdoor hard courts at the Seoul Olympic Park. For the first time in 60 years, in 1984, Tennis returned as a demonstration sport to the Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles, California, United States. At the next Games in 1988, tennis once again became an official medal sport, since 1924 Summer Olympics.

Two events (men's and women's singles) were demonstrated at these Games. Each event had 32 players with 20-year olds allowed to enter the tournament.

The men's doubles was one of two tennis events on the tennis at the 1896 Summer Olympics. The six pairs that entered were seeded into a single elimination tournament. Only five from four nations actually competed, entering as a pair of Greek teams and three mixed teams. It was the only event in the 1896 Summer Olympics which was only for mixed teams.
