"I am visiting USA and wanted to see Rolling Stones in Chicago. Ticket Nest gave me the absolute best prices I could find anywhere on internet. There was an issue for shipping to Germany. Sam at Ticket Nest even spoke German, called back to Germany and didn’t give up until the issue was resolved. I just did not expect this level of service. You know where I will be buying tickets on my US tour"

Monarcas Morelia Tickets Information

Monarcas Morelia
Club Atlético Monarcas Morelia, is a Mexican football club that is also known by the name of Monarcas Morelia. It is also simply called Monarcas, and it plays in the Primera División de México. It is based in Morelia, Michoacán, and its home games are played in Estadio Morelos. Monarcas Morelia is owned by TV Azteca, the TV broadcasting company. It has been the owner of the team since 1996 when it purchased it.

History:
Monarcas Morelia initially had ‘the gold’ in its name, and it was known as ‘Gold Morelia’. Monarcas Morelia played in the Morelia field. This is a field in the avenue log in the city of Morelia, Michoacán, Mexico. In 1951, Monarcas Morelia began to play in the professional league. This was when The Second Division of Mexican Soccer was funded for the very first time. During the 1956-67 season, when Club Puebla backed out of the First Mexican division, Monarcas Morelia was promoted to the maximum circuit. During the 1967-68 season, Monarcas Morelia’s playing status was reduced. It was brought down to the Second Division. With the acquisition of Monarcas Morelia on the part of Nicandro Ortiz [1973], the club had undergone some changes. It was reconstructed, and its name was changed to Atletico Morelia S.A. of C.V. During the 1980-81 season, the club was directed by Diego Malta, Atletico Morelia was promoted again to the maximum performance circuit in Mexican Soccer.

Stadium:
In the late 1980s, the Venustiano Carranza no longer had sufficient seating capacity for the crowds. Atletico Morelia used to play their games there. After much delay, the Stadium Jose Maria Morelos stadium was constructed. It is situated on the outskirts of the Quinceo mountain. When it was inaugurated, Atletico Morelia played Club America. This stadium’s capacity is 45 thousand. However, at the inauguration in 1989, it is believed that there were more than 50 thousand people present.

First title:
Club Monarcas Morelia had a 70-year history of playing Mexican professional soccer. Despite this long playing history, it had not won a first division competition. In winter 2000, the team had its first major win. Morelia beat Club Toluca in a series of penalty shoots that decided the match. Monarcas Morelia’s victory meant so much to the fans that the day after the team lifted the cup, a crowd of around 100 thousand people welcomed the team. The crowd paraded the team through Morelias’ main avenue, Avenida Madero. Later on, they reached their Morelia stadium. Here, the crowd congregated, as the team raised the cup before all its fans. Monarcas Morelia managed to make it two other finals that the team lost in.

Copa Libertadores:
Under coach Rubén Omar Romano, Monarcas Morelia managed to reach the semi finals of the Copa Libertadores [2002]. Due to their performance during the competition, as well as generally throughout the season, FIFA named Monarcas Morelia ‘Best Team in the World’ in April 2002.

Apertura 2006:
Coach Hugo Hernandez was in charge of Monarcas Morelia during the Apertura of 2006. In the 10th match of the competition, Marco Antonio Figueroa replaced him. During this period, Monarcas Morelia’s ranking was 12th, which meant that it did not qualify for the Liguilla.

Monarcas Morelia’s had a strong relationship with the Chicago Fire. An agreement between the two incorporates a variety of sharing, such as, sharing of business and development practices. However, playing, coaching, and executive personnel are also included.
