Miami Marlins Tickets Information

Miami Marlins started playing in 1993 when they were known as Florida Marlins. At the Sun Life Stadium they shared their home ground with Miami Dolphins from the NFL. During their years of tenancy, the stadium was also known as Job Robbie Stadium, Land Shark Stadium, Pro Player Park and Pro Player Dolphins Stadium. With the arrival of 2012, the team moved to Marlins Park which is constructed on the previous site of Orange Bowl. The baseball configuration at Sun Life Stadium was often criticized for its weak sight lines in some areas. Their new home ground however, was designed according to baseball requirements.

In 1997 and 2003, Miami Marlins won two World Series championships, both of which were won in their capacity of a wild card team from the National League. In 1997, the Marlins beat the AL champion team of Cleveland Indians, which became famous for its dramatic victory given that Edgar Renteria, the shortstop, drove in on Craig Counsell who was the second baseman, and completed a run that served as crucial for the Marlins. The season of 2003, on the other hand was noted since it was then that Jeff Torborg, who had been the team’s manager for thirty-eight games, was fired. The team was then left in the last place among NLE with only a sixteen to twenty-two record. Seventy-two year old Jack McKeon then entered to replace Torborg, and steered the team wild card berth in National League for the playoffs. The Marlins then won from the well-known New York Yankees in four to two games in the World Series of 2003.

Minor league affiliates of Miami Marlins include the New Orleans Zephyrs, Jacksonville Suns, Jupiter Hammerheads, Greensboro Grasshoppers and Jamestown Jammers. The Marlins since their inception till as late as 2011 have played their home games at the Sun Life Stadium. The stadium was often criticized for its poor design, wherein some spectators would get the best site of the game, while the others had to do with poor sighting. Selling the Miami Marlins tickets would be a piece of cake from now on! The downside of the new development is that it would be hard to get the tickets at the last moment!
