NASCAR was founded in 1948 by "Bill Franc Sr." as a franchise that encouraged stock car racing by creating a platform for showcasing flair for racing and particularly, organizing competitions to honor the best. The area of its jurisdiction includes Europe, Canada, USA as well as Mexico. Currently, the President is "Mike Helton" while "Brian France", who is the grandson of the founder of the corporation, holds the post of Chairman and Chief Executive. As an internationally recognized professional sports body, its events are aired on television channels and watched in more than one hundred and fifty countries. An estimate suggests that NASCAR has a fan-base of approximately seventy five million people who not only watch the races regularly but also spend nearly three billion dollars per annum in buying other NASCAR products such as car accessories, racing gear, toys and flags.
The celebrated annual race was introduced during the ninth annual "Sprint Cup Series", which took place in 1958. At the end of the race, the twelve highest ranked racers are declared to have qualified for participating in the "Chase for the Sprint Cup", which is the final component of the entire series. Back in 1958, the name of the race was "Richmond 200" and was won by "Speedy Thompson" who drove a vehicle manufactured by Chevrolet. In subsequent years, the name of the race was completely changed when a new sponsorship deal was struck with a different company. After a decade long sponsorship deal with Chevrolet ended in 2009, the name was changed from "Chevy Rock and Roll 400" to "Air Guard 400" to betoken the new partnership with the United States Air Force. Similarly, the name was changed to "Wonderful Pistachios 400" in 2011, following a successful sponsorship deal with Roll Global. It was in May 2012 that Federated Auto Parts was revealed to be the new name for the next two years as an attempt to highlight the recently signed deal with the eponymous company.
With the international reputation of NASCAR attached to it and a history of more than fifty enthralling races, Federated Auto 400 is undoubtedly one of the most popular racing events of the year. Hence, grabbing Federated Auto Parts tickets is your best shot at enjoying an exhilarating race, sitting just a few meters away from the track on which your favorite cars are fleeting.
