“I was so happy with my Ron White Tickets, that I bought Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Concert seats the very next day. Quickest turn around on all my emails and did I mention best prices I could find on the net. Art even arranged for a discount coupon for me and saved me more than $70.

Sam at Ticket Nest even spoke German, called back to Germany and didn’t give up until the issue was resolved. I just did not expect this level of service. Charlotte Bobcats Tickets Information

Charlotte Bobcats
When the Charlotte Hornets relocated to New Orleans for the 2002-03 seasons, (re-establishing there as the ?New Orleans Hornets?) NBA established a new team in Charlotte for the 2004-05 season. Established in 2004 as an expansion team, ?Charlotte Bobcats? are a professional basketball team based in Charlotte - North Carolina, and play under the Southeast Division of Eastern Conference in the National Basketball Association. The Bobcats play their home games at Charlotte Bobcats Arena in uptown Charlotte.

One of the reasons for creation of the franchise was the failed effort of complete funding for a new arena in downtown. In order to help with the funding, the city politicians executed a hotel and leisure tax in Charlotte to assure the plan?s success. George Shinn - owner of the Hornets, also wanted the city of Charlotte to pay for a new arena but when it failed to do so, he decided to relocate to New Orleans.

Robert L. Johnson - Founder of Black Entertainment Television was given the franchise, even though, numerous ownership groups including one led by former Boston Celtics star Larry Bird, made bids for the team. Johnson is one of the well-known African-American owners in U.S. professional sports. NBA legend Michael Jordan was announced to be the second largest shareholder in the Bobcats on June 15, 2006. Also among the noteworthy co-owners was the rapper ? Nelly.

In June 2003, the new team was named - the Bobcats. Along with Charlotte Flight and Charlotte Dragons - the Bobcats were the top three choices as voted by fans. The Charlotte Regional Sports Commission assisted by the "Help Name the Team" drew over 1,250 suggestions. The bobcat is one of the few native predators to the Carolinas. Charlotte, already being home to the NFL's Carolina Panthers, made the cat-related name a natural choice for the area's new basketball team. The name is also a nod to owner Robert L. Johnson, "Bob" being an acronym of "Robert."

On Tuesday - June 22, 2004, The Bobcats held their expansion draft and selected experienced players as Predrag Drobnjak ? who never got a chance to play for the team since he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks for a 2005 second round draft pick and capable youngsters such as Sacramento Kings's ex- forward Gerald Wallace. For the second pick in 2004, they traded with the Los Angeles Clippers to acquire the NBA Draft, on which they opted for Connecticut Huskie's center - Emeka Okafor (winning the NBA Rookie of the year in 2005).

Michael Jordan ? co-owner of the team, issued a statement on March 13, 2007 stating that the Head Coach - Bernie Bickerstaff would only finish the current season and was not to return the next season. The applicants for the position of Head Coach included Stan Van Gundy, Paul Silas, Herb Williams and Mike Fratello. On May 25, 2007, the Bobcats announced Sam Vincent - an ex - assistant with the Dallas Mavericks, to be the second coach in franchise history.

During the 2007 off-season, the front office has been a concern for the Bobcats. On May 31, 2007, Rod Higgins was appointed as a General Manager, similar job to the one he had with the Golden State Warriors. On June 6, 2007, Phil Ford and Lee Rose were utilized to be a part of Vincent's coaching staff. On June 13, 2007, Buzz Peterson was signed up as Director of Player Personnel from Coastal Carolina University, where he worked as Head Basketball Coach. Brandan Wright was selected with the eighth pick by the Bobcats in the 2007 NBA Draft and was later traded to Golden State for swingman Jason Richardson and big man Jermareo Davidson.

Soon after the Richardson trade, the Bobcats reconciled Gerald Wallace to a reported six-year, $57 million contract since he was the team's top scorer for the 2006-2007 season. The 6-foot-7 Wallace has been with the team since the 2004 expansion draft. The Bobcats also gave up team veteran Brevin Knight who was previously the starting point guard but lost out the job to Charlotte draft pick Raymond Felton.

The Bobcats maintain a South Dakota based NBA Development League team Sioux Falls Sky-force besides the Minnesota Timber-wolves and Detroit Pistons. Charlotte supported the Fort Worth Flyers with fellow NBA teams Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers for two years until the franchise went non-operational in 2007. The Bobcats were also the brother team of the Charlotte Sting of the WNBA before the Sting folded on January 3, 2007.
