The Cure Tickets Information

A new rock band surfaced from Crawley, West Sussex in the late 1970s’ and this band came to be known as The Cure. The band’s initial work showed it as a band that evolved after the punk rock revolution, and categorized as a new wave and a post-punk band. Robert Smith is the main man in the lineup of the band as he is the one constant band member which has been with the band in all of its years. After passing through a lot of lineup changes over the years, The Cure currently comprises of Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, Jason Cooper and Roger O’Donnell. The Cure tickets have been famous because the live performances of the band are the ones fans extremely enjoy.
The debut album of the band came out in 1979 which was titled, Three Imaginary Boys. Music of this album labeled the band as a post-punk band as this was the genre springing up after the punk rock era which prevailed in the United Kingdom. The band changed it genre to gothic rock after the first album which helped promoting this particular genre. What the debut album lacked, Smith tried to make up for it in their second album which came out in 1989 with the title, Seventeen Seconds. The efforts proved successful and The Cure got its first hit single on the UK charts and the album itself reached number 20 on the charts. Going different from the standard rock, the band released its third album, Faith, in 1981. The album was even more success than the previous one and moved up to number 14 on the charts.
The Cure took a different turn of music this time, going more somber than the mood of misery present in the music previously. Furthering their gothic rock image, the band released an album titled with a controversial title, Pornography. This album was the last of misery filled music of the band but adding to the band’s popularity, it came among the Top 10 albums on UK charts. The Cure set on Fourteen Explicit Moments Tour for promoting the album and this was the tour in which the band dropped its usual eccentric appearances and also resulted in Simon Gallup parting from the band.
Next album of The Cure came out in 1984 titled, The Top. The album added to the commercial success of the band by not only coming in Top 10 albums of UK charts but also became the band’s first Billboard 200 hit. And from then on, it was more and more success waiting for The Cure. The next album of the band was a double LP released in 1987 with the title, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me. Topping music charts in UK as well as in U.S, it became the band’s first platinum certified album. This album contained a single, “Just Like Heaven”, which became the most successful single of the band to the date. Disintegration, Wish, Wild Mood Swings and 4:13 Dream are some of the later albums of the band which were equally successful.
When it comes to the live performances of this band, it is not only the live music which is enjoyable but fans get attracted to the concerts to enjoy the unique stage appearances of Robert Smith and the band mates which is regarded as being eccentric, Goth and anti-image. The Cure has maintained a set level not only in their music but also in their live concerts which forms the reason of vast attendance at their concerts. The band has a fan base which loves dark, tormented music and their live concerts describe their extreme sides. All of the band’s tours were followed by hard core rock fans that enjoyed the unique music of this band. Fans enjoy the dark environment at the concerts and so The Cure tickets are a popular commodity among the young, Goth-music loving people.
