So You Think You Can Dance Tickets Information

So You Think You Can Dance
So You Think You Can Dance is sort of similar kind of reality show as American Idol is, but unlike American Idol its hunts the dancing talent from across the United States.

In United States and Japan the show is broadcasted on Fox Network, while in United Kingdom and Ireland it is broadcasted on "Living" and in Canada MuchMusic broadcasts it. So You Think You Can Dance made its Television premiere on July 20, 2005 and conduction dancing auditions from all across the United States.

This is show is also created by the American Idol's creator Simon Fuller along with Nigel Lythgoe. The competition is open to the contestants having any sort of dancing back ground including Pro National Dancing contest winners to just street dancers and dancing enthusiasts.

As the contestants make their way through the different rounds on the show they are provided with specific partners and are assigned specific kind of dancing style as they progress through the show.

As of the ratings of 2006, the show was ranked on #1 spot among adult audiences. The host of the first season of the show was Lauren Sanchez, but presently the show is being hosted by Cat Deeley.

Following the popularity of the show, several spinoff shows were held in several countries including Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Greece, Germany, Malaysia and Turkey.

With an aim of finding the most talented dancers in each city, the show holds several auditions across a number of different cities in America while welcoming all sorts of dancing styles in the auditions.

After the auditioning all the dancers battle it out on the dancing floor to earn a chance to win the grand prize which, in the previous year, comprised on Hybrid SUV, US$ 100,000 along with a dancing role in Celine Dion's Las Vegas Show that worth US$ 250,000. Apart from that, the winner is also crowned with the title of "America's Favorite Dancer".

In the auditions that are carried out initially in different cities, the dancers show their mettle with an aim of earning their ticket to Las Vegas. The format that is used presently isn't the format that was introduced in the show during its first season.

In its first season, 50 top dancers were assigned to the groups and for one week each, they had to spend time with 5 different Choreographers and at the end those Choreographers picked top 16.

This format was, however, changed after the first season and according to the new format in which the competitors competing in Las Vegas callback Dance Choreography in front of the Judges, and later out of them Judges pick the Top 20 they liked the best.

Another changed that was brought forward after the first season was that in first season competitors switched their partners every week, but as of present format the top 20 keep their partners unchanged until the show reaches to 10 finalists.

After the selection of 10 finalists the voting is based on couples rather than individual voting. The viewers do get the opportunity to vote for their favorites individually when they perform their solo's during the top ten finals.

Near the season finale of the show, all the contestants dances with each other and by the end of the show judges pick their favorite dance of the season and dances have to perform it again.

The winner of first season was Nick Lazzarini, who won US$ 100,000 in cash along with one year stay in an apartment located at the Central Park in New York City.

The following season was aired on May 12, 2006 with the new host Cat Deeley, for this season Benji Schwimmer was the crowned the "America's Favorite Dancer", while Travis Wall was declared the runner up.

In the second season along with the new set of rules, several new dancing styles were introduced as well. It was the second season when the reward the winner received was added up with Hybrid SUV and a one year dancing contract will Celine Dion.

The auditions for the third season kicked off in October 2006, while their received their official airing on the Fox Network on July 30, 2007. For this season the host remained the same, which was Cat Deeley, while co-creator of the show Nigel Lythgoe became the permanent judge of the show.

The third season lasted for 12 weeks. Another judge that received the permanent status was Mary Murphy. The purse for the third season was increased to US$250,000 in cash.

So You Think You Can Dance Tickets Information

So You Think You Can Dance
Rock and Roll hall of fame band, The Eagles, was formed in early 1970s, and after a short while, Eagles became the most successful band of that era after giving several number hits and albums.

What could be called the Origin of the band is when the band members were assembled by John Boylan in order to back Linda Ronstadt.

Initially the band that was selected to back Ronstadt comprised of Bernie Leadon, Glenn Frey and Randy Meisner, but later on the need of a drummer Don Henley was added to the group as well and together they back Ronstadt on her tour and her album Silk Purse that was released in 1970.

After that, the group decided to form their own band named The Eagles, after they got their first record deal with Asylum Records.

It was in 1972, when the Eagles released their self-titled debut album with Asylum Records. "Take It Easy" was the first single released from their debut album, which earned the Eagles their share of the Stardom as the song hit the #12 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

The other two singles that made it to Top 40 Singles were "Peaceful Easy Feeling" and "Witchy Woman". The album, later in 2003, was ranked 374 on "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" in the magazine by Rolling Stone.

"The Eagles" was then followed by their second studio album "Desperado" comprising of hit singles such as "Tequila Sunrise" and the title song "Desperado".

As the name suggests, songs contained on this album were mainly based up the Western Outlaw theme, and most of the songs on this album were co-written by Glenn Frey and Don Henley.

The album however wasn't as successful as their previous album as it yielded only two singles that were ranked on Billboard Charts, "Outlaw Man" and "Tequila Sunrise".

After this album, Frey and Henley developed themselves as the leaders and the songwriters of the band, and directing the spot light away from Leadon and Meisner, and onto themselves. This gave birth to the controversy that would later lead to the disbandment of the Eagles.

The Last album the band released before their break up was "The Long Run" that was released in 1979 and it ranked on the Billboard Pop Albums Chart at #1 spot.

The album also contained one of the most famous Eagles hits, "Heartache Tonight". The single also fetched the Eagles with a Grammy Award in 1979. The Album received 7× Multi-Platinum status.

Don Felder parted his ways from the band after he performed with the Eagles for the last time on December 31, 1999 in a concert at the Staples Center, Los Angeles. This concert was also released on CD in November, 2001.

Later as Eagles moved on to perform in concerts they unofficially hired Steuart Smith in place of their former band member Don Felder.

After the departure of Felder the line-up of the band comprised of Frey, Henley, Walsh, Schmit, Steuart Smith, Michael Thompson, Will Hollis, Scott Crago, Bill Armstrong, Al Garth, Christian Mostert and Greg Smith.

The Eagles next album, called "The Very Best of the Eagles", was the greatest hits album that comprised of two discs. The compilation contained the hits from their entire career and was released in 2003.

The album officially attained 3x Platinum Status and was ranked at number three on Billboard Charts, the week it debuted. The Eagles recent most single at that time, "Hole in the World" was also featured on that compilation album. In the same year, the band members, Henley, Walsh and Schmit, contributed with Warren Zevon on his album "The Wind".

The Eagles most recent studio album is "The Long Road out of Eden" that was released on October 30, 2007, and is the first studio album that they released after they got back together. The album also featured a cover of J.D.

Souther's song, "How Long", which made it to the Hot Country Songs charts. The song also fetched Eagles a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 2008.

The only other single that made it on to the chart was "Busy Being Fabulous". The album was released after almost six year of being is production process and received 7× Multi-Platinum status.

The present Eagles line-up comprises of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit. As of today Eagles have won a total of five Grammy Awards in 1975, two in 1977, one each in 1979 and 2008.
