Ron White Tickets Information
Comedian Ron White Rarely or better known as "Tater Salad" - with a career that has taken him from the cassette racks of truck stops to the world of stadiums and feature films. The fable around the Fritch, TX, and native's famous nickname has to do with an offhand comment made to an arresting police officer. He once told an officer that he had once before broken the law under the sinister alias of "Tater Salad," the officer believed him, and thus this is how the name followed on. He later admitted that it was just something he picked up in the Navy, but he allows the myth to flourish since the mid-'90s, when he released a string of albums on Laughing Hyena.
In 2000 he went on a tour with his buddies and fellow comics Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall, and Larry the Cable Guy. The tour - known as the Blue Collar Comedy tour, successfully sold-out audiences in over 90 cities by 2003. In 2003 that Drunk in Public, White's first CD outside the world of truck stops, was released on the Hip-O label. Two feature films and two albums for the Blue Collar ensemble also appeared, but White did not participate in the Blue Collar TV series. Instead, he kept a busy schedule as a solo act and starred in the ephemeral variety television series The Ron White Show in 2005, and released the CD You Can't Fix Stupid on the Image label in 2006. The album earned a nomination for a Grammy (Best Comedy Album), alongside Blue Collar's One for the Road.
In 2005, according to Internet rumors, news of White's death was being circulated. Who spread the rumors is yet to be figured, but it is thought that they may have arisen from his act on stage, where he mentioned he was involved in a serious car crash in Mexico that required a metal plate in his head. White jokes that when the doctor fixed the plate he said, "Be careful -- this plate is hot." The rumors of Ron White's death may have come from the fact that a politician, also named Ron White, who was not well known, had died. When the news reported the death of a Ron White, many people may have assumed it was Ron White the comedian.
Besides the Blue Collar Comedy Tour CDs and movies, White has released five solo projects to date which include;Tater Salad aka.
