The performer that gains the most votes while also receiving at least fifty percent of wins is then inducted. In year 2010, as many as five candidates were inducted. These newly inducted artists are honored and welcome to a yearly held ceremony that is either scheduled in the city of New York or once in three years at the original venue of the Hall of Fame situated famously in Cleveland .

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has received some criticism in its induction method which is considered by some to be rather flawed. The issue has been pointed out in the institution’s process of nomination through which only a small number of individuals get to define the inductee.
