Frey has been in the music industry since 1966, and over the decades, Frey has excelled extensively as a singer, songwriter as well as an actor. Frey is widely known for being the founding member of the hit rock band, The Eagles. He along with Don Henley, as the Drummer, formed The Eagles back in 1970. Eagles made their debut as a recording artist in 1972, when the group released its debut album. Before the band broke up, Frey gave his vocals for a number of hit singles by the group including Lyin’ Eyes, Peaceful Easy Feeling, Already Gone, Take it Easy and New Kid in the Town. Also during his time with the band, Frey took home five American Music Awards as well as six Grammy Awards. In 1998, the group was also inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after selling well over 120 Million units all over the globe.
 
As the group parted ways later in 1980, Frey went on to pursue a solo career. As a solo musician, Frey enjoyed huge amount of commercial and critical success and still continues to do so. As a solo act, Frey is known for his hits like The Heat is On, You Belong to the City, Smuggler’s Blues and The One You Love. Frey made his debut as a solo recording artist with his debut solo album titled No Fun Aloud that was released on May 28, 1982. The album peaked at #32 spot in United States and went on to receive certified Gold Status. Frey’s follow up studio album hit the shelves of music stores back on June 19, 1984 and it was titled The Allnighter. Frey’s second solo effort did comparatively well on the charts as it peaked at #22 spot in United States. After the release of The Allnighter, Frey released two more studio albums titled Soul Seachin’ and Strange Weather.
 
His last and most recent studio album came out in 1992, after that he hasn’t released new material. These four studio albums spawned several charting singles including Don’t Give Up, All Those Lies, The Allnighter, The Heat is On, You Belong to the City, Soul Searchin’, Part of Me Part of You, Love in 21st Century and Smuggler’s Blues. The Heat is On didn’t only peaked at #2 spot, it was also featured as a soundtrack of a feature film, Beverly Hill Cop. Two more of his songs, You Belong to the City and Smuggler’s Blues, were also featured on a hit television series named Miami Vice. Frey’s song Flip City was also a part of Ghostbusters II soundtrack, and his song Part of Me Part of You, was an original soundtrack of Thelma and Louise.  
 
During the late 90s, Glenn Frey also co-founded Mission Records along with an attorney Peter Lopez. Frey was also inducted in Michigan Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009. Even though Glenn Frey has released new material since 1992, he still keeps on performing live for his fans from time to time.
