Dead Can Dance’s music masterfully accomplished the task of absorbing sounds and delivering impressions of varying kinds. Predominantly austere and gothic in the beginning, they later explored dimensions like classical sonatas and lieder. Medieval and ethnic amalgams leading off to magnificent orchestration meant religiously inspired new soul and intensity. From renaissance Madgrails to Celtic folk and mystic hymns, the band historically revoked music in the dreamiest fashion. From their Arabic dance music hits to Tibetan chants one finds the band exploring and delivering a plethora of inspirational sounds from all over the world.
The band disbanded in 1998, when both the members decided to venture into solo music creation. Lisa Gerrard’s solo work over the next two decades brought forth studio efforts like The Mirror Pool, Duality, The Insider, The Whale Rider, Immortal Memory and Silver Tree. Brendan Perry was able to make his mark with Eye of the Hunter. It was not until 2005, which both Perry and Gerrard after Silver Tree (2005) realized and answered to the needs and demands of their fans. Their first time reunion took them to the 2005 world tour. The tour was phenomenal and life changing for the band; the fans were jubilant upon seeing their long lost favorite outfit shine again! Playing their signature mystic glazed glacial music, they made a memorable comeback, pacing way for another one soon.
In the holiday season on the year 2011, the band resurfaced with their second reunion. But this time it was more promising as the band’s new album recording was on schedule. Once the album hit stands in the summer of 2012, and rode the waves, the band promoted it via a live concert. Dead Can Dance tickets offer a seat at this brilliant showcase of dream pop that must not be missed at any cost. Dead Can Dance tickets bring to life the live sound of the band playing anything and everything from the band magnificent music.
