Their very first show was staged in Helix, Dublin and since then they went higher and higher. The current lineup features Neil Byrne, Keith Harkin, Paul Byrom, Damian McGinty, George Donaldson and Ryan Kelly. The band has come up with five albums till date with “Christmas” as their most recent release. Their focus has always been on adult contemporary, soft rock, folk and Broadway music. Their first album was eponymous, released in the very first year of the formation. The album was noted for its sprightly energy and vigor. Their sophomore album has been Act Two, followed by their much popular release; Take Me Home. This album carries Celtic Thunder’s marked Irish and Scottish ballads. The tunes in the album are traditional but with a mix of pop covers, bent to establish the band as the eminent adult contemporary act. Some of the most noted tracks from the album are Wichita Lineman, Every breath you Take and I’m gonna be.

Their next big album has been, It’s Entertainment; an album that brings them closer to their vision of becoming a an adult contemporary band. The ballads sung by the band are echoes of Irish men having some real fun. The band has decorously found their way from traditional Irish/Scottish roots towards fun loving, easy on the ears pop. The album is all about celebration, holidays and family fun. It is a high energy arrangement celebrating the legends of music in Celtic Thunder’s style. It covers the amazing artist of past 30 years in an exciting new way. The band has also been on a number of successful nationwide tours. They have performed in all the major venues in the US and Canada. Their most memorable performance till date has been in New York at Saint Patrick Day’s Parade. They have also performed for the American President Barrack Obama in the White House. Celtic Thunder has floated three recordings of their live tours in the market by the name of Celtic Thunder: The Show, its Entertainment! and Take Me Home. Their live shows are known for dramatic lighting effects and sprightly choreography, reaching out to the audiences.
