Brad Paisley Tickets Information

Brad Paisley is an American country music singer, virtuoso guitarist, and songwriter from Glen Dale, West Virginia.

Biography
Brad Paisley was born on October 28, 1972. His love of country music stems from his maternal grandfather. Paisley got his first guitar at age 8 from his maternal grand father who taught him how to play.Paisley wrote his first song at age 12. He had become the opening act for country singers such as Ricky Skaggs and George Jones by 13.

Paisley passed his graduation from John Marshall High School in Glen Dale, West Virginia. He studied briefly at West Liberty State College (WV). Later on, He was awarded a full-paid ASCAP scholarship to Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee (from 1993 to 1995). While in college, he was lucky to meet two persons who played an important role in his future career. Frank Rogers was a fellow student who went on to serve as his producer. Kelley Lovelace was the second person who became his songwriting partner.

Paisley signed a songwriting contract with EMI Music Publishing after graduating from Belmont. He , wrote David Kersh's top 5 hit, "Another You", as well as cuts by Tracy Byrd and David Ball.

With the song, "Who Needs Pictures", Paisley debuted as a singer with the label Arista Nashville. The song was released on February 22, 1999. He also appeared on the Grand Ole Opry for the first time the same year. The song, "He Didn't Have To Be", was his first #1 hit.

In 2000, the producer, Todd Baker, tapped him to appear on the TLC special, "Route 66: Main Street America". It was Paisley’s first exposure to the national non-country music oriented audience. This show featured Brad and band doing rare live and acoustic versions of Route 66 (song).

Paisley has the honor of winning the Country Music Association's (CMA) Horizon Award and the Academy of Country Music's best new male vocalist trophy in 2000. A year later, He was successful in receiving his first Grammy Award nomination. Paisley was inducted into the Opry Hall of Fame on February 17, 2001.

The video of his song "I'm Gonna Miss Her (The Fishin' Song)." won him the CMA Music Video of the Year in 2002. Several celebrities made notable guest appearances in the video, including Little Jimmy Dickens, Kimberly Williams, Dan Patrick, and Jerry Springer. Paisley enjoyed performing with Alison Krauss in the successful video for "Whiskey Lullaby" from his album Mud on the Tires.

Following Who Needs Pictures and Part II,Paisley released his third album, Mud on the Tires (2003). The hit song "Celebrity," is featured in the album. The video of the song parodies reality shows such as Fear Factor and American Idol. Many celebrities such as Jason Alexander, Jim Belushi, Little Jimmy Dickens, Trista Rehn, and William Shatner were included in the video.

The album's title track, "Mud on the Tires," was so popular that it reached Billboard #1 in 2004.

In 2005, Paisley was successful in releasing the album “Time Well Wasted” after touring with Reba McEntire and Terri Clark on the critically acclaimed "Two Hats and a Redhead Tour". Time Well Wasted had 15 tracks. These include "Alcohol", a duet ("When I Get Where I'm Going") with Dolly Parton, another ("Out in the Parking Lot") with Alan Jackson, and a bonus track, "Cornography". The album proved to be a huge success. The Country Music Association CMA Award for Best Album was won by Paisley’s "Time Well Wasted” on November 06, 2006.

Paisley uses custom made Crook Telecaster Guitars and Dr. Z Amplifiers for his signature twang sound.

Paisley contributed two original songs to the Disney film Cars. These can be found on the film's soundtrack. This was in recognition of his contribution to the "Route 66: Main Street America" television special.
