Anita Baker Tickets

Anita Baker is an American jazz/R&B singer and songwriter who first came to prominence as the vocalist of Detroit-based R&B band Chapter 8, when the group released its first album in 1979 in which Baker sang the hit duet Ready for Your Love with band member Gerald Lyles. Another single led by Baker alone called I just Wanna Be Your Girl, also enjoyed significant success, and the two songs were spotted on the R&B charts. A few years later the singer decided to pursue a solo career and in 1983 released the album titled Songstress, followed by the next studio offering called Rapture in 1986. Though the former did only fairly well since it was issued on the small independent Beverly Glen Records label, featuring the moderately successful track Angel; the latter is produced by Michal J. Powell, brought her on the front of mainstream success while also winning her two Grammy Awards. To date, the singer has garnered several awards including eight Grammy Awards, alongside two certified gold and four certified platinum albums. Baker’s exceptional success has thus made Anita Baker tickets a prime favorite among R&B fans.
