The truly refined electric sound of Boston
, with their multi-layered guitar latticework, is a thing of beauty for music-lovers. Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, the band made a stunning impact in the 70s and 80s, smashing records with even their debut album. Boston
has released a surprisingly low five albums since its 1976 inception, yet even this number has served to highlight their undisputable pedigree as one of the finest exponents of classic rock and sold 31 million career units. Multi-instrumental wizard Tom Scholz masterminds the Boston
lineup also containing Michael Sweet (guitar, vocals), Tommy DeCarlo (vocals), Gary Phil (guitar, keyboards), Kimberley Dahme (bass, vocals) and Jeff Neal (drums). There is an air of expectation whenever the band goes on tour, leading to increased demand for Boston Tickets

Tom Scholz formed Boston
’s lineup with Brad Delp, Barry Goudreau and Jim Masdea while he was studying at MIT. Scholz saved up to build a recording studio in his basement where he recorded demos with the band. Promoters Charlie McKenzie and Paul Ahern earned them a deal with Epic Records . It was, however, conditional on a shuffled lineup and Masdea left to make way for Fran Sheehan and Sib Hashian. The powerful lineup took the music industry by storm with 1976’s “Boston”, the second best-selling debut album in history. Rattling off hits with Delp’s phenomenal vocal range and Scholz’s meticulous multi-layered guitar compositions, Boston
was a sensation on the market.
The fantastic follow-up “Don’t Look Back” was released in 1978, but Scholz was ruffled by an irate Ahern’s ownership claims and CBS’s crippling lawsuit for delays. Goudreau left as members sought other pastures. Eventually ‘Third Stage’ came out to widespread acclaim in 1986, but Boston
then suffered Delp’s departure in 1990 before Walk On could be completed. Eventually released, it triggered the return of Delp and a host of personnel changes. Scholz’s labored work on Corporate America pushed it to a lukewarm 2006 release. Boston
then suffered a huge loss as a troubled Delp committed suicide in 2007 by carbon monoxide poisoning.
“Boston”went 17xPlatinum, hitting #3 on the Billboard 200 in a historic debut coup for the band. It made “More Than a Feeling”, “Rock n Roll Band” and “Long Time” staple rock classics. Don’t Look Back topped charts and went 7xPlatinum, with the title track hitting #4, while Third Stage (4xPlatinum) matched its blistering chart-topping achievements on the power of “Amanda” (#1) and “We’re Ready”. ‘Walk On’ was the last Boston
album making waves, reaching #7.
Boston’s live appeal hinges mainly on Scholz’s penchant for reaching wild extremes on his guitar-work, and the band’s perfect job complementing it. Boston
has played to crowds packed with ecstatic Boston Ticket
holders across USA, Germany, Britain, and Canada.
The refreshing music of Boston
is particularly edgy for the multiple harmonies and orchestra of guitars, sometimes simultaneously mixing both electric and acoustic. Scholz’s daredevil attitude is the definition of hard rock, and fans will be clamoring for Boston Tickets
when the show hits the road.
